We are pleased to have become the Birmingham base for FoodCycle, a charity that turns wasted food into an opportunity for a good meal! FoodCycle aims to do four things – reduce waste, reduce food poverty, train volunteers and build community. To achieve this they take surplus food from supermarkets and use it to cook nutritious vegetarian meals that are given out to the community free of charge. We are hosting FoodCycle every Sunday lunch time from 30th November onwards at our centre in Aston. Each week FoodCycle volunteers will be cooking up some scrumptious meals for our local community. Please come and join us for a free three course meal suitable for everybody – All meals will be vegetarian and suitable for children.
