Birmingham Settlement is an established Volunteer Hub, working in partnership with Birmingham Volunteer Centre to encourage people to volunteer in Aston and the local area. Volunteering has wide-reaching benefits for both individuals and the community, helping to reduce isolation, promote good mental and physical health and giving good work experience for employment.
If you would like to find out what volunteering can do for you, come in to see us any Tuesday from 2-4pm at the Centre for the Aston Family and we can talk to you about the kind of roles available, suggest roles based on your previous experience and skills, find roles for you to apply for and help you complete application forms and other paperwork if needed. You don’t need an appointment, just come down to the centre and we’ll help you out!
If you work for a local charity or community group we can help advertise roles for you through the Volunteer Hub. We can register your opportunities and if you have leaflets we can give these out to anyone interested as well.
